“Kao Kalia Yang, the author of “The Latehomecomer,” the first mainstream book by a Hmong writer in the United States, will be the featured speaker at this month’s Conversations of the Valley,.
Kao Kalia Yang, who immigrated with her family to St. Paul when she was 6, will speak at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Grand Banquet Center, 301 S. Second St., Stillwater. The title of her talk is “The Unwritten: A Journey into Writing.”
